In addition to fixing the problem we were called for, at Majesty Plumbing, we like to communicate with our customers by educating them about their plumbing system. This way, you can make the most informed decision as to what work needs to be done now versus what can wait. We’ll do our best to help you stay ahead of any potential issues, and figure out a solution to be proactive.

We currently service Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Southern Scottsdale, and parts of Phoenix.

Generally speaking, if you live in Arizona, you should have some sort of water treatment system for your home, preferably a water softener at the least. The magnesium and calcium minerals found in the water are the culprits for that crusty buildup you find in and on your appliances and plumbing fixtures. This buildup ruins the look of those investments, causes them to work less efficiently, and ultimately shortens their longevity. In addition, the chlorine in our water has negative effects on our bodies and breaks down the rubber components of fixtures and appliances in the home. Protecting your home with a quality water treatment solution (more than just a water softener) will prolong the health of your plumbing system and cut down on plumbing service calls. At Majesty Plumbing, we have various water treatment options to offer that will address your water quality concerns.

Whether it is a traditional tank-style water heater or the increasingly popular tankless water heater, it should be serviced on an annual basis. Accumulation of the minerals and sediment in the water can cause you to have less hot water due to the displacement of the water by the debris in the tank. In addition, mineral buildup can cause your tank-style water heater to run less efficiently, therefore using more energy to run, hence costing you more money. Tankless water heaters are serviced somewhat differently than storage tank-type units. Nonetheless, they, too, should be flushed and serviced on an annual basis. Due to the components within a tankless unit, it is crucial to be diligent about a regular maintenance routine. As a side note, you should never install a tankless water heater unless there is a functioning quality water softener system in place! At Majesty Plumbing, we can take care of everything from installation to maintenance to ensure your water heater is working at its best!

Yes! We offer video inspection for interior and exterior drains. Video inspection is a useful tool for a number of reasons. We typically suggest a video inspection for a drain or sewer line that has recurring stoppages. Typically, when a drain continues to experience backups after it has been snaked out, it means that there is likely something else going on within the pipe that requires “eyes on the ground” (or under it) to see what the problem is in real time. With our camera, we will show you what is happening inside that problematic drain and pinpoint where the problem is. You can follow the footage on our monitor or we can even stream the video to your own phone or tablet! At Majesty Plumbing, we believe that customers should have as much information as is available so that they can be properly informed.

When a home is built, before the concrete is poured, trenches are dug to lay all of the drains and, in many cases, water lines. After the home has been completed, it is possible to develop a leak in one of those buried water lines under the “slab” of concrete, hence the term slab leak. Common signs of a slab leak can be one or more of the following:

  • Higher than normal water bill
  • Hearing the sound of water running somewhere in the wall
  • Feeling a warm area on your floor (the majority of slab leaks tend to be a hot water line)
  • Seeing activity on your water meter when no water is being used on the property
  • Feeling or seeing a damp or wet area on the floor
  • Finding baseboard(s) that are discolored and / or separating from the wall
  • No hot water or short amounts of it

These are some of the usual signs that there may be a slab leak. At Majesty Plumbing, we will walk you through the diagnosis and the steps to fix the problem. As always, we’ll give you options to choose from to take care of the problem and prevent it from happening again.

Absolutely! We know that some plumbing issues can be very costly. Finances are an issue for everyone at one time or another. Regardless, some things just need to get done. We don’t want you to have to live with a plumbing problem that will only turn into a bigger issue if it isn’t dealt with simply because money is tight. That is why Majesty Plumbing has partnered with Wisetack to offer flexible financing options. Financing will give you the ability to be able to pay off that project over time with a monthly payment plan that best fits your budget. It takes just a minute to see your options, and checking eligibility won’t impact your credit score. So whether it be a major plumbing repair or a major plumbing upgrade, our financing options will help make those things a reality for you now rather than later.

By code, high water pressure is the incoming water pressure of anything above 80 psi. The best way to know what your water pressure is to put a pressure gauge on the system to get a proper reading. Some signs of high water pressure could be leaking pipes, faucets, or toilets. Sometimes high water pressure will reveal itself through the old “water hammer.” Simply put, a water hammer can be heard (and sometimes felt) when a faucet or other fixture is turned off suddenly. Unfortunately, these symptoms, over time, can lead to a sudden pipe bursting, which can cause a tremendous amount of property damage and disruption to a household. Did you know that your water pressure can actually fluctuate higher overnight? During the day, when most activities involving water are taking place (showers, baths, laundry, dishes, etc.), the water pressure reading obtained will actually be on the lower end of what will be seen over a 24-hour period. Overnight, when water usage in an area is at its lowest, the water pressure in the system can increase anywhere from 5 to 20+ psi! If your home has high water pressure or is close to it, we recommend having a Pressure Regulator Valve (PRV) installed to have reliable control of that water pressure coming into your home.

Although it should go without saying, we’ll say it anyway. Non-edible things should not be put in your garbage disposal! Outside of that, used properly, even the most basic garbage disposal can usually get the job done. The best rule of thumb when using your disposal is to use small portions of the food you are getting rid of with lots of water. Wait for a second or two until the disposal is clear, then repeat. After you’re done getting rid of the evidence (haha), let the water continue to run for another 10 to 15 seconds to allow everything that went down the disposal to be washed all the way down the line. Using hot water is usually best. In answer to the original question, however, avoid putting these things into your disposal: celery, fruit pits, onion skins, and grease. Follow these tips, and your disposal should do what it’s supposed to.

The average life expectancy of a water heater in Arizona is 7-12 years. Contributing factors such as poor water quality and / or high water pressure can impact your water heater’s ultimate life span. If you notice any of the following issues, you should give Majesty Plumbing a call. It may be time for a new water heater.

  • LEAKING FROM YOUR WATER HEATER – If you notice water or dampness at the base of your water heater, it’s probably time for a new one due to a tank leak.
  • HOT WATER RUNS OUT TOO FAST –  If the problem is with the water heater and not some other cause, it’s possible that your water heater isn’t running as efficiently as it once was. This could be due to mineral buildup in the tank. Sometimes, the amount of sediment in a tank can displace the water. When this happens, your 50-gallon tank, for example, may be holding the equivalent of 5 gallons of sediment and only 45 gallons of water! The more deposits in your tank, the less water. Also, it could be that your water heater is simply undersized for your family’s needs.
  • BROWN / DISCOLORED WATER – When your hot water comes out of the faucets with a brown or rust-like color, it’s probably an old water heater that is not worth trying to save.
  • OLD WATER HEATER THAT DOESN’T WORK AS WELL AS IT USED TO – Now that you know the average life of a water heater if you have an older water heater that may be in need of repair, it’s usually a better idea to replace the unit altogether. The reason is that a water heater repair can be several hundred dollars. Putting that money into a repair of a water heater that is near its end is a huge risk. Better to use that money on a new one with the peace of mind that it will last for a long time before having any problems.

The Majesty Plumbing team is ready and able to assist with your water heater needs!
